I’ve been to several, megacon, metrocon and supercon. so far i like megacon the best. does anyone know of any really big anime conventions in Florida that are fun? If you only could attend one anime convention each year, which one would you choose? thanks in advance!
I WOULD GO WITH METROCON i’ve been ot the others and it’s not good supercon is cool has alot of people dressed as anime characters
I’ve seen a couple of messenger bags out there that look cool, they’re flcl ones, don’t ask if you don’t know what it is, but anyway, point being, Ima GUY, oddly enough, and was wondering how borderline normal it would be for me to buy it…the only people I’ve ever seen with em are girls, but I dunno…cause they look cool, especially the one I’m thinking of buying…
By the way, I’ve heard people talk about what ‘hidden meanings’ in the story before…anyone with an opinion on that? I have one, so email me, but be prepared for a long, confusing, nutjob rant.
Here’s the URL for it on amazon. Kinda pricy, but I’m not worried about that.

It’s not that the bag in general is girly, it’s that I’ve only ever seen girls with em.
you should put a link of the exact one you want on your question…….in additional details,,,,,,,,,so you can get some serious opinions!!!!!!
okay edited to say…i searched that FLCL bag and the only one that came up was red and black swirly one,,,,if thats the one you want i dont think that theres anything girly about it!!!!!!!!!

xD the reason why i asked this cus i was watching an anime and on the bottom there was this ad tht says " Dating for anime fans :people like YOU are on geek 2 geek . Meet and date other geeks" lol !
Yeah that advert drives me insane! Everytime I go on MAL it’s like "people like you" as I’m diseased T____T
Otaku’s and anime fans are different things. I’ll probably get thumbs down but I resent people who call themselves Otaku’s because they wouldn’t call themself an otaku if they realised how they were insulting themselves. You will tend to find most people who call themselves otaku are not really Otaku (otaku‘s are slightly less extreme than Hikkikomori but will spend a lot of money and time on anime more than general living… Basically obsessed with anime) and to be called an otaku in Japan is considered heavily insulting.
"In general colloquial usage however, most Japanese would consider it undesirable to be described in a serious fashion as "otaku"; many even consider it to be a genuine insult." (from Wikipedia)
Being an anime fan like me though, doesn’t mean I’m a geek, just means I have an interest xP. I have watched loads now (200+ series) and read loads of manga, but I know that I’m not a geek just because I watch it since I don’t let it take priority in my life like otaku’s do. Considering my boyfriend isn’t an anime fan (though I’m on a mission to change his bias) it proves that I’m not going to end up dating some "geek" just because I like anime. It is unfortunate that in society the words geek + anime seemed to be inseparable apart from by people who actually like anime and manga.
I guess it depends on how you interpret the misconception of the definition of otaku, in western society it now means a hardcore anime fan so to speak, I guess they are not geeks, but I do wish they’d realise what they are doing when they call themselves otaku (like atleast wikipedia the definition so they don’t sit back and insult themselves to Japanese people.).
How many new romance animes come out every month? I looked in genre search in animenewsnetwork for 2008 and it said so far only 47 romance animes have come out this year, personally I dont think that is all that much, how many would come out a month?
It depends in Japan, because there is a like a voting system, depends on the mangaka, and depends on how popular the manga is. Some like Vampire Knight, Special A, The Wallflower, and a some others were voted for most popular in Japan that they were introduced later as an anime. So, depending on how many romance anime come out in a month, its most likely 0.5/10. If the newtype magazine was out in stores, people would know what anime is aired in Japan right at that given moment, or what new anime would be playing.
47 romance anime, huh? Doesn’t sound much.
This is my first AMV…it was made a long time ago, but my account was deleted and same with my videos….so im just re-uploading it.

I just took a glimpse of episode 230 & noticed that I didn’t see some of these people before in the Manga. I just don’t get it D:
Can anyone help me?
The manga is obviously ahead of the anime, because the anime is based off the manga. The only reason why the two would be different are the fillers that are created every once awhile so the that the anime never catches up to the manga.
The reason why you don’t recognize the character in Episode 230, is because that episode is the start of a new filler arc.
I’m not sure how many more seasons there are to inuyasha, and i would also want to know if the other season(s) a dubbed, and how can i get a hold of them, pls i’ve already been waiting 2 years!!!
The inuyasha series was discontinued after episode 167.
Why?
The anime had caught up with the manga, and they ran out of material to work with. What people "think" is episode 168 (which you can find on various sites) is what i think was going to be another filler episode, but it was never aired.
There was however, a new episode aired on June 30th of last year during Rumikos 50th anniversary.. or in celebration of it. But that is it. The episode was never sold, aired on TV, or anything like that. There is no 5th movie, and every single rumour stating there is, is fake.
You can download this episode from my site however, its a "cam" version of it. (Meaning someone snuck a video camera inside and recorded the episode) its obviously not in the best of quality, and its in Japanese without subs, but if your a true Inuyasha fan you would still want to see this.

(Right now i only have a download link, ill put a stream up soon)
Also, here is that "filler" episode i was talking about

How did Kishi-san manage to create a manga that populated all over the entire world! Japan sold like 70mil copies, how did Naruto become so Famous?
Why Naruto is famous in US? Ninja. Why Naruto is famous in Japan? Modern Ninja. Storyline? Its okay. They ripped off lots of other shonen manga but since most people start with naruto they dont know about it.
Naruto is overhype worldwide and every kids this era will talk about it non stop just like kids in the 90s talk about DBZ. Thats why its famous. It sold 70 million copies in Japan? I know One Piece sold more than double the amount, 150 million copies. The story is way better than Naruto but everyone looks down upon it because of the artwork.
