Naruto is a very well-known Japanese manga (comic) and anime (animation) series, both in the US and across the world. The series, both manga and anime, have created a phenomenal success throughout the world, especially amongst teens and young adults. The manga has been running since 1999 and has had up to Volume 46 as of May 1, 2009, while the anime has been airing since October 3, 2002 in Japan and is still showing on TV Tokyo as of now. The series quickly gained its fans because of its story, which the main character, Naruto Uzumaki, had to go against all the odds in order to reach his dream and to protect the bond he has with his lost best friend. So many people could relate to Naruto’s hardship in life, and to some point idolize him. The characters around him played really important parts in the story. Amongst these characters is his teacher, Hatake Kakashi. Hatake Kakashi is one of the most popular characters in Naruto series. Apart from his parts in training and teaching Naruto both physically and mentally, which played the important part in Naruto’s growth throughout the series, he became really popular amongst the fans because of his laid-back character. The fans have known him the most for his signature hobby; reading the Icha-Icha book series, the “adults” books written by Jiraiya, another teacher of Naruto, and his mysterious “face” which has always been concealed by a mask. However, when Kakashi was teased to be “dying” or “dead” by the manga author in the latest arc in the Naruto manga, it sent a somewhat panic fever amongst the fans. It was as if hearing the news of someone very close to you die. Most fans were in disbelief and some even claimed not to continue reading and following the series anymore. That just shows how much Kakashi is loved amongst Naruto fans. Whether it is true that Kakashi is “really” dead, it is best to just enjoy every Naruto episode of the anime where we can still see Kakashi well and alive, and enjoy that while we can.

i need a new series to watch with ninjas/ samurai’s in it… action packed sword fight super techniques and stuff like that… any anime suggestions similar to that category will help…(not so much like samuria x or champloon) more like naruto ninja scroll, bleach with techniques could b similar 2 dbz or yu yu hakisho

You can try HunterxHunter. They have ninjas and basically HxH is about a boy similar to naruto as he tries to find his father.

It’s by the same author as YuYu Hakushou and the four main characters are like the main characters in YuYu. Kuruma to Kurapika and Killua to Heie (sp?). For dBZ lovers their is the fight between Kurapika and Ubo (He turns super saiyen)

If you like Naruto then you may find a kindred spirit in Gon as he tries to "retrieve" his friend Killlua and Kurapika in a later arc. Kurapika is similar to Sasuke because they are both avengers and both have scarlet eyes.

It has humor similar to Bleach and it is in SHONEN JUMP.

The story of Hunter × Hunter focuses on a young boy named Gon Freecss, who one day discovers that the father he had always been told was dead was alive and well. He learns that his father, Ging Freecss, is a legendary Hunter, a person that has proven themselves by examination to be an elite member of humanity, with a license to go anywhere or do anything. Despite the fact that his father abandoned Gon with his relatives in order to pursue his dreams, Gon becomes determined to follow in his father’s footsteps, pass the Hunter examination, and eventually find his father, to prove himself as a Hunter in his own right.

Please give HxH a try!

I just took a glimpse of episode 230 & noticed that I didn’t see some of these people before in the Manga. I just don’t get it D:
Can anyone help me?

The manga is obviously ahead of the anime, because the anime is based off the manga. The only reason why the two would be different are the fillers that are created every once awhile so the that the anime never catches up to the manga.

The reason why you don’t recognize the character in Episode 230, is because that episode is the start of a new filler arc.

Where do I start from in the berserk manga?

On July 13, 2009, in manga, by admin

I just finished watching the berserk anime and now I want to read the manga. Where do I start so I don’t get confused?

Berserk the anime does not follow Berserk the manga exactly. Many of the supernatural elements in the manga were removed for the anime. The anime follows the Golden Age Arc of the manga. Start reading the manga from the beginning and when the Golden Age Arc begins, skip chapters until the start of the next arc.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 2009

On July 4, 2009, in anime, by admin

Man this series seems to be a total let down for me… can u imagine they actually repeated 3 entire episodes with slight changes here and there but with no actual progress in the endless eight arc??!!!

Are the producers insane or just trying to lengthen the series with dumb useless episodes??

Please comment if u are watching the series and have anything to say about its progress.

How can I convince someone to watch naruto?

On July 3, 2009, in naruto, by admin

I have a friend that doesn’t want to watch naruto,He watched one episode and didn’t like it
He likes Avatar and Shaman king .
How can I convince him to watch naruto.
What episode should i show him,or what video,or what should I tell him?

I was the same as your friend – yeah I know shame on me:P

I really hated Naruto because my first impression of him was that of a stupid, annoying boy who had a bad dress sense ! LOL! But you know what changed my mind??

Naruto Shippuden!

If you want someone who is prejudiced against Naruto to give a real chance to that wonderful anime/ manga, don’t show him the first episodes of Naruto (the 1st series) – new watchers will always get the impression of a whiny, stubborn and damn annoying brat!

It was thanks to the Rescue Gaara arc, esp. the Sakura/ Chiyo/ Sasori battle that made me liked Naruto and then had me search for all the other episodes aired to date. And look at me now, I have watched of the 220 Naruto episodes and 105 of the Shippuden, and all of the 5 released movies + waiting impatiently for each new chapter release – a real Naruto addict!! LOL!

Good luck with your friend. Tell him to open up his mind. If he liked Avatar, he can only love Naruto!!!

I've been reading the manga lately and I've enjoyed it. But is the anime better than the manga? Or I'm a best off sticking with the manga?

manga! the last arc featured in the manga series was never made into anime for some odd reason, easily best villian of the series

I'm just wondering with all these fillers, not to mention unnecessary ones..(Since the manga is about 120 chapters ahead) if Naruto Shippuuden is going the way Rurouni kenshin ended up? Fans losing interest with the draggiiiiiin fillers..

Does Anyone know when these fillers arc ends? (three tailed bijuu)

Well Kenshin really had few fillers. the third season was an ease into the ending of the series and the ova's ended kenshin's legacy naruto is bs because of all the useless crap If naruto ended up like kenshin it would actually be worth watching.

I’m planning on buying a gift for someone, either Rurouni kenshin or Full Metal Alchemist. Which one do you recommend? Thanks!

Well, it really depends. Let’s take a look:

First of all, Ruroken has some romance, whereas FMA has no romance whatsoever. I believe this is the main difference.

Ruroken is based on real historical events, while FMA is based off of science and fantasy.

Personally, I think Ruroken has better drawings, so if you’re picky about the artwork, pick Ruroken.

I think that FMA is better plotwise. Though it may not have great artwork, it’s firmly built around an interesting plot that captures your attention throughout.

All in all, if you’re going to purchase anime (animations), I’d pick FMA, only because Ruroken’s entire last third of the series is leterally ALL IN FILLERS. They did not put (in my opinion) the BEST plot arc into animation. However, I do not like the FMA series ending in the anime, either. I thing it has a lame ending, and it’s sad that **SPOILER** Winry gets left behind **END OF SPOILER**. So, I would purchase manga of either. FMA is more suitable fro a younger audience (Age 12+), I think. Both are very funny. The manga of both are spectacular, so it’s your pick.

and when do they kiss? :)

They never kiss, but Kaoru kinda confesses when kenshin tells her that everyone will eventually part ways. She says something along the lines of "But, I want to be with Kenshin forever." She gets shy, and then Kenshin says something and puts a hand on her shoulder, then they walk away. This happened in the Jinchu arc…but I can't remember where exactlyX_X.

They do eventually have a kid though. Last chapter of Volume 28.

When They Cry: Higurashi – Volume Two

On May 4, 2009, in anime, by admin

After finishing the first “arc” of an eventual nine and introducing us to the second, When They Cry: Higurashi moves on to showing the brutal conclusion of the Cotton Drifting arc, providing several more key clues to the nature of what’s happening in Hinamizawa. With the introduction of the Curse Killing chapter, however, things only continue to become more mystifying as events seem to begin to overlap and contradict each other as Keiichi attempts to protect a dear friend.

I am watching the serires and Im gonna start reading it to, and I cant find the manga chapter that I need.

Sad to say …But they're right. The presnt series is based on a filler arc for the anime.. You should start with the Kakuzu and Hidan story. Then you should be able to start reading about the meeting with Tobi( Madara ) and the Sasuke – Itachi face-off arc…hell of a story I tell ya… You wouldn't believe the ending of their story!.. Keep on reading!!!
